Emmanuel College’s longstanding tradition as a trailblazing institution began with its founding by the Sisters of Notre Dame de Namur in 1919 as New England’s first Catholic college for women. Today, as the only Catholic college in the heart of Boston, Emmanuel continues to honor this powerful and timeless legacy. Situated in the Fenway neighborhood, Emmanuel’s beautiful residential campus is home to around 2,200 students—including more than 1,800 undergraduate students—from 37 states and territories and 41 countries.
